Deborah began her career as a college professor, teaching political philosophy at Columbia University and Bryn Mawr College. But after falling in love with Philadelphia as a place to live, she shifted focus, launched a career in market research and joined Visit Philadelphiaas their first director of research and strategy. Deborah holds a BA from Bryn Mawr College and an MA and Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. She became president of Campus Philly in October 2010, a role that combines her love of college communities and Philadelphia. In her words, it’s “the perfect job.” Deborah serves on the board of Mekor Habracha-Center City Synagogue, the Bryn Mawr College Alumnae Association Executive Board and the advisory committee of the Jewish Grad Network of Greater Philadelphia.
