Alex J. Taylor

Alex J Taylor is Terra Foundation Research Fellow in American Art at Tate. Taylor completed his DPhil in History of Art at the University of Oxford in 2014. He is the author of Perils of the Studio (2007), and is currently completing a book manuscript exploring corporate art patronage in the 1960s. His award-winning work on the sculpture of Alexander Calder has appeared in American Art, Oxford Art Journal and the exhibition catalogue Alexander Calder: Performing Sculpture (2016). His projects at Tate have included the ‘Visible Hands: Markets and the Making of American Art’ workshop in January 2016.
